Tub-To-Shower Conversion
The most requested project we do. Removing an unused tub buys real floor space and makes the room usable for the next thirty years.
Tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in showers, and full renovations — waterproofed properly behind the tile, where it actually matters.
Bathrooms are the most-renovated room in the house and the most commonly renovated badly. The reason is simple: the part that determines whether it lasts is completely invisible when the job is done.
Tile is not waterproof. Grout is not waterproof. Water passes through both and is stopped — or not — by what sits behind them. A shower built on green board with no membrane will look beautiful for two years and then quietly rot the framing and the subfloor beneath it. We see it constantly, usually when someone calls about a stain on a ceiling downstairs.
Every wet area we build gets a proper waterproofing system: a sloped mortar bed or pre-formed pan, a bonded membrane over cement board, and sealed corners and penetrations. It costs more than green board. It is the whole job.

Frameless glass, benches, niches, and curbless entries where the floor structure allows it.
Down to the studs — new layout, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, tile, vanity and fixtures.
Furniture-grade vanities, proper linen storage, and lighting that works for actually getting ready.
Bonded membrane systems, correctly sloped pans, and sealed corners. The part you never see.
Grab bars anchored into blocking, curbless entries, comfort-height fixtures and slip-resistant flooring for aging in place.
A tub-to-shower conversion is usually one to two weeks. A full gut renovation is typically three to four weeks on site. Tile and waterproofing have mandatory cure times that cannot be rushed.
It depends heavily on size, whether the layout and plumbing move, and your tile and fixture selections. We give you a written itemised estimate with a clear tile and fixture allowance, free.
Yes — it is the most common project we do. In most homes it is straightforward. The main variables are where the drain sits and whether the floor structure allows a curbless entry.
We can. Moving a toilet or shower drain means opening the floor and is permitted, inspected work — worth it when the layout is genuinely wrong, and worth avoiding when it is not. We will tell you which case you are in.
Every bathroom we finish gets a properly sized fan ducted to the outside. If your current fan vents into the attic — and a lot of them do — we fix that as part of the job.
Tell us about the project and we'll come out, look properly, and give you a written number. No pressure and no obligation.
